Botlek bridge
 (A15 Maasvlakte-Vaanplein)

The iconic Botlek bridge, realized in 2014-2015, plays a significant role in connecting the Port of Rotterdam with the European hinterland. The Botlek bridge is one of the biggest moveable bridges and from a technical perspective the most complex moveable bridge in the world.

The construction team advised and represented Waagner-Biro Bridge Systems in a construction matter with main contractor A-Lanes A15 relating to the realization of the new Botlek bridge as part of the DBFM project “A15 Maasvlakte-Vaanplein”.

Hans-Mark is well known for his involvement in many high profile development, lease and property investment transactions, especially in hotels & leisure, retail and residential. He is an extremely powerful dealmaker with 25 years of experience. 

Clients of Hans-Mark include a variety of real estate (related) companies, including property funds and investors, developers, engineering companies, retail companies, hotel operators and investors, corporate occupiers, construction companies, industrial and logistic companies and housing corporations.

Hans-Mark also has extensive experience in construction law, property finance, zoning and planning and environmental issues.

Janet has extensive experience in civil court litigation. She represents clients in complex law disputes in civil court and arbitration proceedings involving various types of (real estate) construction contracts (including DB and DBFM).

In procurement cases, she advises both tenderers and contracting entities. Furthermore she advises in matters relating to scarce (public) rights.

She is also experienced in negotiating contracts in the field of construction, project development, and public-private partnerships (PPP/PPS).

The construction team advised and represented Arcelor Mittal subsidiary BCS, responsible for the production and delivery of all steel reinforcement for the project A9 Gaasperdammerweg.

A9 Gaasperdammerweg

A9 Gaasperdammerweg is a technically complex highway and tunnel DBFM project between two traffic junctions on one of the main highways between Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The total project value is around EUR 700 million. Part of the project is the realisation of the longest land tunnel in the Netherlands (almost 3 kilometres).

Arjen de Snoo has extensive experience in administrative law and assists clients in relation to zoning and planning, environmental and nature preservation law, land policy and expropriation.

He has a lot of practical experience in guiding and counseling the government as well as private partners, especially on the implementation of new innovative laws like the Spatial Planning Act (2008), the Crisis and Recovery Act (2010) and coming Environment and Planning Act (2021).

Arjen has handed many cases involving advice and litigation before the civil courts and the Council of State. He represents governmental bodies as well as private partners in sectors like project development, infrastructure and (renewable) energy.
